Sousan Amiri, M.S, LMFT is a licensed Psychotherapist specialized in working with children, individuals, and families integrating psychotherapy and the world of Attachment Focused Therapy which considers the latest advances in the neuro-biology of interpersonal behavior and how this affects relationships and behaviors. Her educational background includes Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from California State University, Channel Island. She has received training from different institutes and holds numerous memberships in several honor societies and professional organizations.

In her expertise as a relational therapist, she interweaves her formal training as a psychotherapist with her views on families and parental issues. Relational issues are her focus. She believes whether the conflict is between partners, parents and children, the goal is to mend the relationship and create a functional and a healthy connection. She is dedicated to helping people cope with fears and struggles that hold them back from their full potential. Her work connects the dots and helps one to see the problem and learn how to address it in a loving, healthy and an effective way.

Sousan applies her excellent client rapport and clinical expertise to improve individuals to overcome their struggles with everyday life challenges. Sousan uses a warm, interactive, and collaborative approach along with her professional counseling expertise help parents understand how to be the best mothers and fathers they can be for their children, and how to work together to support them even under difficult circumstances. She works with individuals and couples facing divorce and families and adolescents in conflict and with individual clients with issues resulting from relational, separation, grief, loss, and conflicts.

Some of her strongest qualities include being emotionally empathic, and attune to her clients. As a therapist she is dedicated and deeply committed to support her clients and strive to provide them with the highest level of professional therapeutic services in a safe and nurturing environment.
